THE FUTURE OF HOPE
set up by Chido Govera, The Future of Hope Foundation in Zimbabwe is a local woman-led organisation providing materials, training, and development support to enable women and orphans in rural communities to support themselves and strengthen their society through growing and selling mushrooms. they are currently fundraising to build a laboratory for better inoculations, substrate development, and experimenting with cultivating or supporting wild native species. TFOH aims to increase Zimbabweans’ climate resilience, social security, and economic circularity. find out more about the foundation here.
HERBAL MUTUAL AID NETWORK
set up by GOODWITCH herbal, based in NYC, the Herbal Mutual Aid Network is a grassroots organisation providing free coast-to-coast plant-based care for Black people seeking support through the ongoing COVID crisis, racial justice uprising, and related circumstantial stressors. Partnering with non-BIOPC-owned herbal, health, and wellness organisations to provide supplies, they run ongoing fundraising to support the work they do supporting vulnerable individuals in a environment. find out more about the network here.
